Silage Cover Film
Our co-extruded silage film covers are made from high-quality polyethylene (PE) and incorporate advanced technology and additives to deliver superior strength and durability. These covers are available in both single opaque and bi-color versions and are designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.
Silage sheets are commonly used to cover fodder and preserve its high and initial nutritional quality. Since fodder production is seasonal, silage covers are needed to preserve it for a certain period until it can be consumed by animals.
Our silage film covers are known by several names in the industry, including bale wraps, silage wraps, bunker silo covers, silage bunker covers, silage pits, silage protection sheets, silage sheets/sheeting, flat silos, bunker cover film, and haystacks.
Silage covers create an isolation between external and internal sides where fodders are stocked, maintaining an anaerobic condition free of oxygen, light and heat.
Providing a lactic fermentation, silage covers reduce pH with acidic environment to prohibit any microbial and/or fungal activity and preserve high nutritional value of crops, all year around.
These covers with high puncture resistance are UV-stabilized to last up to 12 or 18months.
Benefits
Resist extreme weather conditions
Limit UV light transmission
Preserve an anaerobic condition free of oxygen, light and heat
Provide a lactic fermentation that reduces pH with acidic environment
Prohibit acetic & butyric fermentation, limiting microbial and fungal activities
Resist against UV and punctures
Outstand wind gusts
Applications
Silage film covers are suitable for all applications, such as silage pits, silage bunkers, flat silos, haystacks, adapted to all extreme climate conditions. With special UV stabilisation system, these covers protect PE film for a usage period of 12 or 18 months.
